The condition is fairly common and relatively easy to treat.

The bacteria causing the problem thrives in moist, warm conditions making the feet a great home for it to thrive.

The skin will look like it has small crater-like pits within it and often smells because of the bacteria.

In order to try and resolve the issue, foot hygiene is imperative, washing and drying properly daily and wearing shoes that will allow air into them. You also need to change your socks daily.
